Since the release of the first edition in 2000, significant strides have been made regarding the acceptance of heat pump technology by operators and technicians, as well as by the public. Finally, the gap between national Kyoto Protocol goals and actual CO2 emissions is being addressed with new policies. Heat pump technology, which has received too little attention until now, is now gaining some of the credit to which it is entitled.This is due to the fact that energy efficiency and environmental impact guidelines for heating technology are often best fulfilled through the use of heat pump technology. This handbook is intended to act as a guideline for the planning and installation of heat pump heating systems. The contents are based on years of practical experience and results of ongoing development, as well as broad, international knowledge exchange.
