The field of environmental science and technology has made enormous strides in recent years. This rapid growth has been stimulated both by the concerted efforts of scientists and engineers trained in traditional environmental disciplines, as well as by the diffusion of ideas from other (non-environmental) fields. This book is about the positive role that electrochemical science and engineering can play in the detection, quantification, and treatment of environmental pollutants.
