The second in a series of remarkable instructional seminars in the brutal art of Indonesian Pencak Silat with Pendekar Steven Benitez and Guru Alvin Guinanao, this DVD focuses on four animal-based groundfighting styles: Kucing (cat style), Harimau (tiger style), Buaya (crocodile style) and Kura-Kura (turtle style).
First, Guru Guinanao presents a series of essential conditioning exercises in each of the four animal styles.
These exercises are designed to help you develop the strength and stamina necessary to fight from the ground as long as you need to.
Then, Pendekar Benitez presents six jurus (solo hand forms) that demonstrate the correct use of the animal styles and show the natural flow of motion from one animal posture to the next.
He also shows how combat applications from each of the four animal styles are drawn from the jurus. “Free flow” practice and extensive background interviews round out the content of this amazing DVD production.
