Namor: The First Mutant #1-3 (Ongoing, Update) 3 CBR's in RAR | Marvel Comics | Release Dates Aug 25 - Nov 3 2010 | 60.96MB Total
Namor, The Sub-Mariner again is given his own ongoing series, although instead of an origin reboot, as what is apparently the vogue in comics these days, it starts with an event tie-in for its first story arc. The first issue spins directly out of the ending to X-Men #2, as the X-Men have divided to search for Dracula's scattered remains. Namor's assignment has him seeking the vampire lord's head deep beneath the surface of the ocean, where he encounters... well, underwater vampires, of course. Starts slow but by issue #3 there's progression and development. Issue #1 includes two variant covers while the second issue has one. All high-quality Minutemen scans. “Solicitations (Spoiler Alert!) Spinning out of the pages of X-MEN #1, comes an all-new series starring the world’s first mutant, NAMOR THE SUB-MARINER. When the X-Men are confronted with a deadly vampire threat, Namor takes matters into his own hands on a mission that might bring down the entire might of the vampires on their heads…and in the process, destroy Atlantis! What lurks down below the ocean where the sun can’t reach? What he thought was a fable to scare the children of Atlantis comes to terrifying life in the form of a newly-discovered race of Atlantean Vampires. Namor’s choice, to stand with Atlantis or the X-Men, will define a new chapter in his life…or death. -- issue #1 Namor has succeeded in his mission to the X-Men, but in doing so, has opened the floodgates of an ancient evil that has lived below the depths for hundreds of years…the Atlantean Vampire race! Now the shallow peace between them and the Atlanteans has been broken, and they have Namor—and the kingdom at Atlantis—in their sights as they try to reassert themselves as kings of the seas. -- issue #2 Continuing 'ROYAL BLOOD,' the epic storyline that propels Marvel's Avenging Son into a new world of horror! Namor takes the Curse of the Mutants deep undersea as he leads a fierce assault on the underwater vampires' eerie stronghold, far below the ocean floor. But as the First Mutant fights for his life, a dark secret from the past threatens Atlantis! -- issue #3, marvel.com ” “Namor the Sub-Mariner is a fictional comic book character in the Marvel Comics universe, and one of the first superheroes, debuting in Spring 1939. The character was created by writer-artist Bill Everett for Funnies Inc., one of the first "packagers" in the early days of comic books that supplied comics on demand to publishers looking to enter the new medium. Initially created for the unreleased comic Motion Picture Funnies Weekly, the Sub-Mariner first appeared publicly in Marvel Comics #1 (Oct. 1939) — the first comic book from Timely Comics, the 1930s-1940s predecessor of the company Marvel Comics. During that period, known to historians and fans as the Golden Age of Comic Books, the Sub-Mariner was one of Timely's top three characters, along with Captain America and the original Human Torch. Everett said the character's name was inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner". The mutant son of a human sea captain and of a princess of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis, Namor possesses the super-strength and aquatic abilities of the "Homo mermanus" race, as well as the mutant ability of flight, along with other superhuman powers. Through the years, he has been alternately portrayed as a good-natured but short-fused superhero, or a hostile invader seeking vengeance for perceived wrongs that misguided surface-dwellers committed against his kingdom. The first known comic book antihero, the Sub-Mariner has remained a historically important and relatively popular Marvel character. He has served directly with the Avengers, Fantastic Four, the Invaders, and the X-Men as well as serving as a foil to all of them on occasion. -- Wikipedia ”
