Green Arrow was exiled from Star City at the end of the storyline "Fall of Green Arrow." But then something happens and seemingly overnight Star City is covered in forest. So the Green Archer comes back to haunt the forest shadows, battling evil and doing good... what other fictional character can you think of dressed in green and armed with bow and arrow does this? You got it right--Robin Hood. Unlike Robin Hood, however, Green Arrow is now a morally ambiguous anti-hero, sometimes crossing the line to achieve his goals. The creative team has maintained a frenetic pace from the start, although by issue #5 little is yet known about the mysterious Star City forest. Brightest Day elements are introduced a-plenty, however. What is certain is the consistency of the high level of shock and gore, which will resonate with fans of this type of presentation, a la Avatar Press. Not for the faint of heart.
