Autoři zde přinášejí ucelený přehled meziválečných událostí na maďarské politické scéně, popisují budování jednotlivých složek ozbrojených sil a podrobně mapují jejich bojové nasazení od prvních vítězných střetnutí až k hořkému konci. Důležitou součástí knihy je přehled používaných zbraní včetně základních technicko-taktických dat a dále obsáhlá mapová příloha. Text doplňuje více než 800 fotografií, z nich značná část dosud nebyla publikována, a množství bokorysů vytvořených speciálně pro tuto publikaci. Použité údaje pocházejí z maďarských a německých archivů a soukromých sbírek a byly přezkoumány několika předními maďarskými vojenskými historiky.
