1: Acrobatics for everybody - The video on this DVD was shot during a typical workout for the general public (not for acrobats!), run by coach Obrebski and his assistant coach Pawel Grzybczyk—expert instructors of acrobatics. Anyone can come to such a workout and for a small fee have the use of the gym and the coaches' instruction and help. Coaches Obrebski and Grzybczyk teach at the acrobatic club DKS Targowek in Warsaw, Poland. This club has won national championships 24 times, and its members bring medals from European and World Championships. The club has about 150 members who compete but it also offers classes for the general public, both youth and adults. We decided to release this video because it features average young people, not especially talented, from late teens to twenties or thirties, learning tumbling skills. You can see how those people learn front and back somersaults, back handsprings, flying cartwheels, etc., quickly and with no fear. 2: Gamma Fitness - The benefits of bodyweight calisthenics have gone well beyond what I originally imagined. When I first wrote the book on them - I was simply letting people know about the superior conditioning program I learned from the legendary Karl Gotch (he taught me this program when he was 75 years old and was still strong as a bear) - a REAL pro wrestler (when there was such a thing) who came to the U.S. from Europe in the 1960's. Long considered one of the foremost fighting and fitness authorities, Karl took me under his wing and showed me the smoke and mirrors of modern strength training. Things that turn you and me off. Here are some examples of what I mean: The sickening rush for steroids and supplements. Instead of believing in oneself and the training method you follow - people today are brainwashed into believing the "supplement" is what gives them their results. There is certainly nothing wrong with legitimate supplements, and they can assist you - but never forget that YOU and the right program are the key. The counterfeit muscles of bodybuilding and how these actually hinder the performance of any combat athlete - as well as make you more injury prone - not less. The agonizing reality of the "beat-up" weight lifter. I now have dozens of testimonials from power lifters and others who thought lifting heavier and heavier weights was the true measure of strength. If they only knew (before they started) about the crippling pain they were going to have in their shoulders, elbows, knees and spine. The sobering reality that modern strength training does NOT give you simultaneous benefits in endurance, strength, power and flexibility. The embarrassing truth that many weight trained muscles are actually not very functional. Take the beach muscle biceps, for example. They look nice but what are they good for? And most of the time, despite the enormous comic-book character size of those BIG GUNS, they're ain't much strength there. Sometimes there is - but usually there isn't. Now, it is not my intention to bag on weight lifting and weight training. I have plenty of friends who use weights and they ARE strong. What I am saying, though, is that these same people have also found that bodyweight exercises CAN AND DO dramatically improve your overall fitness - not to mention that six-letter word called ... H-E-A-L-T-H... 3: Gymnastic Bodies - Have you ever been intrigued by the tremendous strength and power of the Olympic Gymnasts you have seen on television? This one hour video shot on location in Northern India closely examines the mechanics and regimens of physical development adhered to by wrestlers during their intense training routines. The two daily workout sessions under the supervision of a guru at the local akharas or wrestling gymnasiums are based on an ancient traditional wrestling and physical culture template that dates back thousands of years. Gratefully, Karl captured a few of his ideas on video. As Karl says, "Wrestling is a workman's sport, you need no expensive equipment and can practice it anywhere". The same goes for Karl's Conditioning for Combat Sports. All you need is few minutes, the desire to excel, and the knowledge Karl will share with you. Karl has forgotten more about wrestling and fitness than some modern "experts" will ever know and now you have a chance to sit in as he coaches student Tom Puckett through the workout of a lifetime. Mark my words, few that watch this video will ever be able to accomplish the workout that Karl r
