I am not sure if the word "enjoyed" is the right word to explain my experience of reading this book. Most of the time I spent chewing my nails, banging my head against the wall....Haymore certainly knows how to pile on the angst and anguish. Every time I thought "things can't get worse", they did! This book certainly is different...not then usual hearts and roses historical romance but I loved it. I loved the vile villain. I was captivated by the three-way love quandary. I adored Garrett, who I hope finds his true love in the next book of the series. My final advice: if you like sexy and gritty you'll love this book. If you want 'lovey dovey', this book is not for you.
