I have read all the books in this series and I always look forward to each new release. I wasn't disappointed in this addition; there was movement with the love triangle, as others have mentioned, and Maggie becomes more adept and more comfortable with her special talents and with standing up for herself and her friends and their beliefs. As much as I love the character of Liss, I think it would be really interesting to see her show some human flaws and flip out for once and not be so patient and wise all the time, just to add some dimension to her character. I also figured out the identity of the villain pretty quickly, as other reviewers have stated, but it didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the story. I still had a blast 'visiting' Stony Mill and checking in with all the townsfolk. The only characters I really had any issue with were Tara and Evie; I found their dialogue to be stereotyped and flat, like teenaged characters on one of those hokey after-school specials. I know MA is a better writer than that, and I have faith that she'll pull these characters together for the next installment, which I'm eagerly awaiting.
