Watching The Clock was one of the best Star Trek reads I've had in ages. While reasonably technical in parts, Chris does a fantastic job of discussing various time travel theories/concepts and applying them to (as near as I could tell) all instances of time travel that were encountered in the Star Trek television show and movies. Starting with the DTI agents Dulmur and Lucsly established in the DS9 episode "Trial and Tribble-ations", CLB has managed to "world-build" not only the DTI organisation, but a number of fascinatingly alien, cultures, indivduals and concepts.
Couple this with a ripping good yarn that, I think, is on par with the "The Buried Age", and I don't think readers will be disappointed!
