With Monophonic a.k.a. Torsten Martens, a pearl diver has been found who is a master of his trade. „Music was and is one of his favorite food“ it says in his biography; whoever knows him knows that this is right.
Just a few stations in his life: In Hamburg, Monophonic produced his own weekly radio drumґnґbass mix program and the international music scene soon noticed him. An engagement with Sony Music followed, shortly afterwards, Monophonic took over for a few years the much sought-after A & R job with the well-known label Mole Listening Pearls and successfully and sensitively shaped the sound of the label.
