Dear Fellow Writer,How would you like to earn as much as $40 per hour, working from home and calling your own shots?Actually, $40 per hour is just a start. In my heyday I was making over $70 per hour working for some of the top internet marketers in the industry.I've created six videos that cover everything you need to know about making big (and easy) money as an internet ghostwriter.
Below is a summary of each video.
Video 1:
How To Get Paid What
You Want (And Deserve)
Most people set their prices all wrong.
Here's what I did when I decided what to price my services at. First I asked myself, “How much would I like to make an hour?” I decided that in less than a month after I started ghostwriting, I'd like to be making $40 an hour.Using the techniques I reveal in this video, it didn't take me a month to reach $40 an hour... it took me less than a week!
The idea is to “reverse engineer” your business, so it suits you. This is much better than letting others set your prices for you. Once you know what you're willing to work for, then you create a specific plan to achieve that figure.
That's one of the reasons my system acts so fast.
Here's how it works:
1. Come Up With Your Ideal Hourly Figure
2. Calculate Your Average Article Writing Speed
3. Determine if it's “doable”
4. If it isn't, increase your APH and/or EPV
If you don't know what APH or EPV are, don't worry... that's what videos 2 and 3 are about.
Video 2: How to Enhance Your “Article Per Hour" (APH) Speed... So You Can Write Up to 9 Articles Per Hour!
The faster you work, the more money you'll make. It's that simple.
Video 2 discusses the two article writing systems I've created that have allowed me to write as many as 9 articles per hour. That's less than 7 minutes per article!
Hard to believe, huh? And no, these articles weren't 100 words in length. Almost all were right around the 400 word mark.
At my peak I was averaging $7.50 per article. At 9 articles per hour, I was making $67.50 an hour -- more than a dollar a minute!
Actually, It was even more than that. But that involved my “advanced ghostwriting tactics" found in video 6. But without doing anything more than the basics, I often found myself making $65 or more an hour.
I'll admit though I'm pretty good at this. I've been at it for a while. I couldn't always do 9 articles an hour. Often times I did 6 or 7. But even 6 articles at $7.50 is $45 an hour. And I hit that mark within a week. That's why my headline says "$40 an hour ghostwriter in less than a week", not $65 an hour ghostwriter.
That took me a few months to achieve.
Now here's what's interesting. I'm a bit lazy about setting my price per article fee. Since I was so fast, I charged a little less than most of my competition. I could afford to because I could make it up in speed. It was only recently I discovered I was severely undercharging for my services.
How did I know? Well, when I went to “fire” my clients to do article marketing for myself, many of them offered to pay me $10, $12 or even $15 an article just to retain my services.
So you don't even have to be half as fast as me and you can still make as much.
It's actually really simple when you know how to up your EPV.
Video 3: How to Increase Your “Enhanced Perceived Value” (EPV) To Get Top Dollar Fees!
The average ghost writer gets paid between $3.50 and $6.50 per article. But you don't want to be “average” do you?
The reason those fees are so low is because most ghost writers don't know a damn thing about perceived value, or how to enhance their own. So they're forced to cut their prices to stay competitive!
I can tell you first hand people looking for ghost writers take a lot more into consideration than the fee you charge.
Why? Well, many people find out if they pay $5 per article to a ghostwriter, often times they have to go back and edit the articles they receive. Time is money of course. To spare themselves of wasted time and headache, they're willing to pay more if they are confident in their ghostwriter.
You can build that confidence with the right perceived value enhancement techniques!
Also, you need to position yourself to attract a certain quality client. Ideally you want to only work for people who have good, proven marketing systems that allows them to make “$X” per article.
For example, my favorite clients were those who owned PLR membership sites. Their sites would be set up something like this: 200 people paid them $47 each month to receive rights to 450 articles. If you do the math, you discover those numbers come out to $9,400 a month, or $20.88 per article.
Not bad! So these clients don't bat an eye when you quote them prices of $10 or $12 per article... provided that you have the right “perceived value”.
There are three ways to enhance your perceived value. They are:
1. Social Proof – I'll show you how to build social proof into your business model, so your perceived value automatically goes up... and... helps you attract higher paying clients.
2. Demonstration of Expertise – I'll show you certain elements to add to your website and marketing methods that will imply your authority and expertise. People like working with experts. I show you how to create the perception of expertise with as little effort or time as possible.
3. Offer Sweetening – The trick here is to perform extra services that you clients perceive as having high value, but that don't take much additional effort. The idea here is to do a “little more” but get paid a lot more for it.
As you can see, if you increase your article writing speed and the amount you can charge per article, you'll exponentially increase your dollar per hour figure.
However, none of that matters if you can't get any clients. And that's what the next video is for!
Video 4: How to Get Your Next (Or First) Paying Client in Under 24 Hours... And 6 Ways To Get More Clients Than You Can Handle!
If you're like me, you like instant results. That's what my prospecting methods produce. When I started my ghostwriting business, I used just one prospecting method, and I snagged 3 paying clients in my first 24 hours in business. And in less than two weeks demand exceeded supply. This is a nice position to find yourself in, because it allows you to increase your prices without fear of losing business.
Anyway, in this video I'll show you:
1. The PLR Membership Method – How to locate and approach PLR membership site owners, and what to say to get them interested in partnering with you. Landing just two of these clients gave me over 250 articles per month worth of work!
2. The Competitor Method – There is a certain way to approach other article writers that will make them happy to refer work your way... which you can then better exploit by using the tactics you learned in the other videos! (I love this method)
3. The “Forum Search” Method – 3 Specific ways to use 2 different forums to get people who are desperately looking to pay a ghostwriter – any ghostwriter – for service! (You can piggyback this method with the above two for amazing results)
4. The “Desperation” Method – Not required, and only recommended if you need fast cash and need it ASAP. You won't make as much money with this method as with the other methods, but it is absolutely fail proof for getting a paying client almost right away.
5. The Referral Method – How to build a referral funnel into your ghostwriting business to make your clients much more likely to send other clients your way (My two best clients were from referrals)
6. The “Creative” Method – The one question you can ask yourself that will allow you to almost automatically know where to go and what to say to get a paying client in under 24 hours!
This is the first part of your prospecting plan. To really get the most out of these methods, you need to watch the next video.
Video 5: How To Create A “Positioned” Website That Will Generate More Clients Than You Can Handle
A part of my business is coaching and consulting article writers. One of the things I discovered is most ghost writers don't know how to use their websites to sell their services. They approach it like they were selling an info product. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Understand this: ghostwriting is a certain kind of service business, not an information business. In other words, there are different triggers you need to hit in order to get the maximum amount of prospects to become customers, and to command the highest fees from those customers. That's why I created this video. When you watch it, you'll discover:
The absolute, #1 most important element on your website... how many of these you must have, what they must cover, and how to position them in a certain way to "hook" in prospective clients!
Why the “hard sell” approach is probably costing you clients by the boatload – and how to assume a certain kind of “soft sell” approach to make your website visitors much more likely to use your ghost writing services
The best place to put your offer – and how to present it and word it
Why “Simplicity is best” and how to make it work for you
How to get an “instant website” built for you for as little as $50, using 3 special resources... (and if you know a little html and css, you can do it yourself for free, and get your website up in less than an hours time)
The first five videos are enough to get you making at least $40 an hour in less than one weeks time if you put them to use.
Then, once you hit that mark, you can go on to the sixth video, where you'll discover how to earn even more!
Video 6: Advanced Ghostwriting Techniques!
Strategy 1: The Upsell
There are two ways I get clients to pay me more per article. The first it the “time upsell”. The second one is the “Bulk discount reversal”.
Most people give discounts for doing ghostwriting work in bulk. Not me. Because the demand of my services was so great, I created this technique out of necessity. Later I discovered I could've used it all along.
It's a sneaky way to position yourself so you can charge more for doing “bulk” work. And, if it doesn't work, it still makes the client feel like they're getting a deal by paying you your normal, higher than average, ghostwriting fee.
Strategy 2: The Cross-sell
I'll show you how to take a first time client, and make them into a lifetime client... who is willing to pay you more for other, additional services.
Most of my work was article writing. However, articles have a limited perceived value. There is other content that is just as easy to write as articles that has a much higher perceived value.
Once you've established a relationship with a client, you can cross-sell them on these additional services and be able to charge a lot more for what basically comes out to the same amount of work.
Strategy 3: How to Get Clients to Pay You 100% Upfront
Now, this tactic doesn't always work, especially on first time clients.
However, once you've established a relationship, there is a certain way to use an “alternate choice” sales close to make them much more likely to pay your fee 100% upfront.
Not only will this guarantee you get paid, but it saves you a lot of time. I came up with this technique because I got tired of keeping track of who owed me what.
At the very least, by using this technique you can guarantee to get paid at least 50% of your fee upfront... every time!
Here is another excellent video and tutorial series by Jason Fladlien! I highly recommend all his courses and material to the Internet Marketers out there!
