The length was ideal for me. It was long enough for me to connect to the characters yet with my twenty minutes of reading time a day I was still able to get it read quickly. The Cover art is wonderful on all four of the books; number four will be out soon! Nexi is very human, given the amazing happenings of the story that aspect of the character impressed me. Ms. Kennedy has done a phenomenal job of world building in the story and making the fantasy both intriguing and believable. I've been reading a bunch of new authors this year and this book and its creator stand at the top of the pile. This was a story that hurt when I had to put it down. I love the honesty of the characters and the magic of the story. If you read this book, you'll agree that it's not like anything else on the market right now.
