Product Description: He watches with disbelief, slashed and bleeding, as the stunning, raven-haired beauty tumbles out of nowhere. Wondering if his injuries are playing a hoax on his eyes he rushes to find her. Jerad is a high-ranking Noble, descendant of Antheia, Third Corridor of the Tenth Zone. Ordained as Keeper of the Key it is his duty to seek the wisdom he knows she possesses, the knowledge to unlock the mystery to Orion’s belt. She watches in fear, shaken and bruised, as the ferocious looking warrior falls from his horse and hits the ground. Realizing he desperately needs her help, she rushes to his side. Sera is a well-trained military officer, space traveler from Earth, sent on a mission to explore the stars. She has no connection to his peculiar prophecy. There is just one problem. Sera is a woman without a past, or at least one she can recall. After plunging through the skies and hitting her head, Sera has lost her memory. With her ship in flames and unable to contact her people, she is alone and stranded on an alien planet. To make matters worse, the warrior claims that she is the Ptino asteri..Starbird of the Edict..sent to save his world. Moreover, he has every notion of taking her home. What choice does Sera have? Her only chance of survival, it seems, relies on Jerad’s help. With much reluctance, she follows him to the Third Corridor, and because of it, she nearly dies. Forced to participate in the Rite for the Cloak, Sera faces the fury of an irate challenger intent on taking her life. Through a stroke of luck, she survives. Sera awakens in Jerad’s bed, injured and distraught, but relieved to be alive. She also discovers that she is now Jerad’s bride. But having her husband bed her is the last thing Sera wants. Though his kisses make her quiver and his voice seems to beckon her like an enchanting serenade, Sera has only one goal, to wait for the rescuers to take her home. She will not remain in this barbaric world where challenges by blade settle disputes and the drawing of blood is a commonplace thing. She does not belong there, or with Jerad. The thought of letting Sera go impales Jerad’s heart like the thrust of a thousand swords. Yet he refuses to believe that his torrid longing for her is nothing more than his burgeoning lust. The foretelling designed the marriage, to join the Starbird with the Keeper of the Key. He fulfilled his obligation. Sera is his wife by rite, not by heart. The fates however have other ideas. Jerad and Sera cannot deny the overwhelming devotion surging between them, the unquenchable yearning for each other’s touch, the cadence of their swelling hearts..lovers destined to be torn apart...but a love woven in a seamless bond so fierce it will transcend the boundaries of the universe. Now, with Jerad light-years away and awaiting execution, Sera wonders if there is more to the Edict than she realized, or if she is merely losing her mind. Was she really sent to save his planet? Sera is determined to uncover the answers. Will the revelation send her across the galaxies and back into Jerad’s arms, or cause both their worlds to come crashing down? Can her tattered emotions survive the truth? One way or another, Sera has to find out. The Third Corridor-futuristic romance by Angel Lynn
