The creative genius in transforming Alaska into a country was extremely believable. The introduction of the unorthodox Alaskan royal family was simply enjoyable reading. In the Royal Mess, I truly enjoyed the further exploration of The Dragon. Granted, witnessing the King's foray into fornication was somewhat disturbing considering his decree of no sampling the goods until after the wedding. Though, the entire relationship was just plain hilarious to read. I truly enjoy the way Mary Janice Davidson's mind functions. Humor is just a natural progression in her books that forces the read to laugh out loud. I do believe this author should place the phrase, "destined to make you laugh out loud, so beware your surroundings" on her covers as a warning label. There have been many occasions of bursting into laughter in the middle of a crowded coffee shop while reading this series. So trust me, beware of those surroundings because people do look at you funny when you bursting into an uncontrollable laugh while sitting alone in a crowded room. Luckily, I have yet to be hauled away in a beautiful, brand-new white coat from laughing at Davidson's books. If you haven't tried any of her books yet, I suggest you start at book one and catch up because the rest of us fans need another person laughing on the other side of the room to make us look normal.
