The Rasmus - Finnish rock band, formed in 1994 in Helsinki, where the group members were still in school. It was founded Lauri Yulenenom (vocals, lyrics), Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Janne Heyskanen (drums). Heyskanen left the band in 1998, and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. Before the release of the fourth studio album Into (2001), a group known simply as Rasmus, but later the name was changed to The Rasmus, that name does not match the name Swedish DJ Rasmus Gardel. World renown they had won with his album Dead Letters 2003 and single In the Shadows , released on the tops music charts in several countries.
The Rasmus - one of the most successful Finnish bands: around the world sold more than 3.5 million of their albums, they received eight gold and five platinum awards. The Rasmus have released seven studio albums, two compilations and 24 singles.
