I was interested in this book because I am a Lori Foster fan. Ready, Set, Jett was a sweet story about learning trust and overcoming the past. I enjoyed both Jett and Natalie and found it interesting how Foster was using this story to set up her new series. One of my favorite Foster traits in her books is her use of animals!
Susan Donovan was a new to me author and the book was so-so. I actually enjoyed the main characters, Gail and Jesse. Their love story was sweet and it was nice to see them move past hurts. The teenagers in the story are beyond annoying and the way they treat the Gail is horrible. She does redeem this in the end but as someone who works with teens...I found the characterization horrible.
Victoria Dahl is another new to me author and while I enjoyed her writing and the characters I was very disappointed that the story just ended and then to find out it was a set up for a new series (which does not come out until later this year) and that the two characters she introduced would not even have an resoultion until the third book...well I finished the story frustrated and quite annoyed. I think most of us who read Harlequin love the happy endings...and Dahl's story is a to be continued in which you have to wait...for the end of her series.
