The entire work is heavy on math and includes excellent illustrations. In addition to the usual author and subject indexes, the reader will find indexes to the tables, figures, and equations, the latter being particularly useful. Because areas like communications and biomedical engineering are far from static, this new edition is a worthwhile addition as a technical reference.
