Nitara has been trained her entire life to be a breeder. In a post Apocalyptic society, breeders are pampered and highly prized. But there is a price paid for being with a breeder - the men involved are kidnapped to service the breeders and are then sacrificed. Akaash, the man chosen to be Nitara's sacrifice is sad to know that he will never see his clan or bonded mate Dhatri again. The woman, Nitara, is unlike any woman he has ever encountered and as their month of erotic encounters and enticements draws to a close Nitara comes up with a plan. A plan that will mean their deaths should they fail.
Akaash and Nitara's attraction to each other is instantaneous. They have to learn to trust each other and that is hard for them - especially Nitara since she has never been around males other than her brother and various guards. She is out of her comfort zone, but loves every stolen minute she has with Akaash. And then Dhatri is added to the mix and Nitara is one lucky woman.
The Breeder is over the top excellent. There is just something about the way Eden Bradley writes that enables her characters to come alive. The finale of this delicious book is just what I wanted for Nitara, Akaash, and Dhatri. All three of them deserved the happy ending they were given and that is why I read romance.
