The only real flaw in J. Michael Straczynski's first script for The Book of Lost Souls is that, like the as-yet-incomplete synopsis above, it's too damn talky. There's a helluva lot of exposition to get through here, and the scary thing is that it's still not all given to us. But like the cat of the same name who will become Jonathan's main companion in his work, what happens to Jonathan is a mystery, one whose answers may be revealed to us in future issues. Or they may not. I'm still waiting for answers to some of my questions about Straczynski's Babylon 5, don'tcha know. But JMS is one of the few writers who can annoy me with a ton of incomplete exposition and still leave me begging him for more, and here he's done it again.
