Enemy Unbound is an excellent addition to the The Absence’s discography and really serves to mark this band as one of those groups who should be more known by now. Obviously with a sound such as this they aren’t going to be some massively huge band but they should definitely be on everyone’s radar as it doesn’t seem like people talk about them enough.
Even though the lyrics can be a little hokey at moments it’s hard to argue with the band as they sing about Triumph, Vengeance, and Victory which are three things that you could not be accused of pursuing whilst listening to this disc. The Absence are one of the few bands that are able to inject a lot of melody into the music they make and it shows here, and they have once again released an excellent disc worthy of any headbanger’s collection in Enemy Unbound.
