Summary: Storytime planning gem!
Rating: 5
Storytime Magic has been invaluable to me in planning my public library storytime programs. The intent of the authors was to provide the engaging activities needed in between books read aloud at storytime. Finding those fun fillers has always been what takes up most of my time. After reaching for this book I always come away with something to round out my program. The book is organized by theme. There are many, many patterns available, via the accompanying web site, for flannel board stories, rhymes, crafts, and songs. There is even a list of suggested books to read aloud for each theme, but as the authors state, finding the books to read is the easiest part of storytime planning. I recommend this book to anyone needing storytime programming resources.
