SLIP OF THE KNIFE by Denise Mina is a murder/mystery fiction set in 1990 Glasgow, Scotland. It is well wrtten with detail. Is is a gripping read with a great plot. It has suspense, mystery, is complex, it has action and brutality, good and evil. The main character is gutsy, and determined to find out who and why ttwo of her friends where murdered. At first I had trouble getting into it due to some to the language different, but once I figued it out I enjoyed the book. The secondary characters carry the story and give great insight into the plot. If you enjoy suspense, mild violence, fast paced, and fascinating female character you will enjoy this one.
