This was my favorite book in the Pacific Passion series. Matt has always been a stable character but we really don't see a lot of emotion from him. In this book he really struggles with jealously, to the point that it starts affecting his shaman abilities. It's nice to see him come to grips with this issue and their relationship strengthened because of it.
Laurin is so conflicted that you feel for her, not! She has the perfect guy that loves her unconditionally and is willing to wait on her. She has a job she loves and now two guys that want her.
Throwing Kallen into the mix was a nice addition. It added an extra level of sexual tension that had the pages smoking. The respect that Matt and Kallen had for each other, as well as Laurin, was a must for the whole thing to come together. The three of them are pure magic together and definitely worth the wait.
Overall I loved this book and would love to see more books in this series.
