I enjoyed this book much more than the patchy third volume in the series. It was great to see more Magozzi/Rolseth banter and a little less of Grace MacBride's frankly rather tedious coldness and paranoia. Four books in, shouldn't she be getting over herself now? I hope some of the poor reviews I've seen here won't stop people picking up this book - it has plenty of entertainment to offer. I can't agree with previous reviewers who suggest that the newer characters were unsatisfactorily developed. Good characterisation doesn't mean listing every detail but (as is the case here) should provide just enough for the reader to use their own imagination to complete the picture. But in these days of information spoon-feeding, perhaps people don't want that any more?
