The action as Kristin tries to stay one step ahead of the pursuers intent on silencing her, is very fast paced and, as I said in the subject of the review, reminds me of a lot of the best work by Craig Thomas. It is the sort of story which gives the impression that it was written with one eye on a potential film script, and may indeed make a good movie. Although the book starts at the end of the war the bulk of it is set in 1999 with flashbacks provided by the device of the pilot's journal being found in the wreckage. I must say that I found the ending a bit disappointing and a little odd that the last scene should take place in 2005 when the book was written in 1999, and I just wonder if that was the case on original publication.
Suspend disbelief and enjoy the book as a very good thriller.
