This book provides real world help for parents, both new and not-so-new. Unlike many parenting and child development books that make for interesting reading but don't provide practical help, the activities and advice found in this book can be worked into your normal life.

I liked this book very much. It offers practical activities that help children build a successful foundation in school and life. I would recommend this book for parents and grandparents who want to help their children achieve. You can do the activities during the summer and young children will be even more prepared for entering pre-school.

This is a fantastic book! First of all, it is thoughtfully organized. Additionally, the authors have written a parenting "manual" which doesn't talk down to its audience, but also doesn't use language more suitable for academia. This is a very approachable, very usable book. The authors state that parents will create more confident children, but I also believe they present such great ideas and practical exercises that PARENTS will become more confident of their parenting practices. I plan on giving MegaSkills to my brother-in-law and his wife who just had their first child.
