I picked this book up for my son because he's starting AP statistics this year. He said it does a great job of introducing the topic and presents it in a clear way. He's been using it to prep for his class and he's very happy with it. Thumbs up.
Quick note on the Kindle edition (which I purchased). It was formatted really well. I knew I was taking a chance getting a text book to be displayed on the regular Kindle (not DX), but it's working out nicely.
