I was initially alittle put off by this book just due to it's size. However, once I begin reading it, there was no turning back. Like the first book, Sabriel, it's a very deep story and more than worth the time and read. I immediately loved the Disreputable Dog much more than Mogget. I was disappointed in Sameth as the book progressed but begin liking him more towards the end. The ending of this book left me hanging needing to read the next book just to see what happens. If you enjoy good fantasy filled with magic and loveable characters, this is the series for you.
