This was a random purchase motivated by my suggested readings from Amazon. Overall, I think this was a cool "media experience" in that the book paired with online videos created something that I find truly unique. Like most, I typically like to give the characters my own look/persona based on my imagination, but having snippets of (admittedly poorly produced) videos supplemented the read nicely.
As a standalone book, do not expect a literary masterpiece. This is a book for entertainment not a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize. There are certainly predictable situations, hackneyed writing with corny dialogue, but it is also much more graphic, brutal and suspenseful than I expected. If you want an easy read that you won't put down, I recommend checking this one out.
