I'm predominently used to seeing these kinds of anthologies as stepping off points for new authors. Fresh blood showing off talents without investing a solo publishing contract or using too many pages. But for all the heavy hitters to be included alongside the new guys makes this book at tad odd to read at times.
none of the stories are by any means bad, but coming from the calibre of authors that penned some of them, a few are a bit of a let down, Twelve Wolves in particular. While it may have worked well as a e-short story, its so odd that it stands out simply for its weirdness. A few are too cookie cutter. There's only so many plots for less than thirty pages, but there's also the feeling you've seen this twilight episode before.
Overall, definitely not bad. a few slow swings from names you'd have expected better from, but quite a few that were definitely above par.
