The very premise of this book, a gender-shifter, should have been a clue to me that the writer would lean heavy on eroticism. The book is sexually-laden throughout. That is not to say that it is not enjoyable, as the imagery of the fictional world, the colorful characters, and the well-written prose keep things moving along, preventing the reader from feeling like he or she is reading a Harlequin. I am not a fan of erotic writing and would not have purchased this book if I had researched it more thoroughly first. All things considered, I am glad I read the book.
