It is hard to describe just why I love this book so much. Hourglass has a little bit of somehting for everyone. The time traveling aspect is well thought out and based on actual science and best of all it isn't too hard to understand. The writing is witty and snarky. Emerson is one of the sassiest main characters I've ever met and she isn't going to let anyone push her around. Enter Michael, the boy who has the answers, well some of them, and a wicked smile. The story is fast paced and filled with memorable characters. (just wait until you meet Kaleb) Add in the timeslip factor and you have a truly unique story.
Myra McEntire has created a world that I would love to live in and charcters I could be friends with. This was a fun twisty read that I highly recommend.
