I've never read a Hauf book before. I have no comparison, but I think this was an excellent book to break into. Blu is such a well written character. She has a heart bigger than herself. Creed is a good man, a worthy man. I felt what they felt, that's always a sign of a great book to me. The prejudices and hatred of what's different gets a little hard to read, but the balance is restored. The good and bad balance, I can't stand books that don't balance. I truly enjoyed her writing style. The pace is steady, the plots plausible. The sub characters were interesting enough I had to go back and see if they had their own books. This is a dark, fierce and passionate paranormal romance!
