Handbook of Green Chemistry is a landmark publication in green chemistry. Edited by the inventor of the 12 principles of Green Chemistry, Paul Anastas, Handbook of Green Chemistry is a one-stop resource covering green catalysis, green solvents, green products and green processes over 12 volumes of content. Handbook of Green Chemistry is published online in three parts: Volumes 1 to 6 covering green catalysis and green solvents in 2010, followed by volumes 7 to 9 in 2011 covering green processes and 10 to 12 in 2012 covering green products. The Handbook of Green Chemistry covers highly topical areas in green chemistry such as feedstocks, green chemical engineering, green catalysis (homogeneous, heterogeneous and biocatalysis), separation techniques and solvents like supercritical fluids, ionic liquids and reactions in water. It covers the big environmental and product design issues faced by chemists such as how to make nanoscience greener, design safer, sustainable and less toxic chemicals and make chemical synthesis a greener and more sustainable process. In the final 3 volumes, Handbook of Green Chemistry covers green products, the chemical engineering behind their processing and what makes a green product, vital in now this is key selling point for industry. Contents of Volume 4 : Supercritical Solvents Introduction High-pressure Methods and Equipment Basic Physical Properties, Phase Behavior and Solubility Expanded Liquid Phases in Catalysis: Gas-expanded Liquids and Liquid-Supercritical Fluid Biphasic Systems Synthetic Organic Chemistry in Supercritical Fluids Heterogeneous Catalyis Enzymatic Catalysis Polymerization in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Synthesis of Nanomaterials Photochemical and Photo-induced Reactions in Supercritical Fluid Solvents Electrochemical Reactions Coupling Reactions and Separation in Tunable Fluids: Phase Transfer-Catalysis and Acid-catalyzed Reactions Chemistry in Near- and Supercritical Water
