Konnten mich VICTORY mit ihrem „Temples of Gold“ nur bedingt uberzeugen, zogen sie mich mit ihrem 92er Album wieder ganz und gar auf ihre Seite. Die CD kommt mit einem simplen, wenn nicht sogar langweiligem Cover daher, aber das nur am Rande. Die Musik zahlt und diese ist vom Feinsten. Fanden sich auf dem Vorganger noch viele Songs die meiner Meinung nach nur als Luckenfuller geeignet waren, gibt es hier wieder die Vollbedienung ohne Ausfalle. Die CD beginnt mit einem barenstarken Riff, welches zu dem Song „Rebel Ready“ gehort und sofort wei? man das man hier sein Geld gut angelegt hat und freut sich auf weitere Knallersongs. VICTORY lassen sich auch nicht lange bitten und rocken mit „Rock-O-Matic“ hart und witzig, gewurzt mit einen Schuss Funk durch die nachsten Minuten. Ohne hier einen Song zu benachteiligen gebe ich euch noch mal die geile Ballade „Man on the Run“ mit starken Western-Flair oder das coole „No way tonight“ mit auf den Weg. Leider haben VICTORY nach dieser CD nur noch eine Live-CD herausgebracht und sich dann aufgelost. Man hatte zwar Jahre spater noch mal eine CD veroffentlicht (Voiceprint), aber die kann das alte Feuer nicht mehr zum lodern bringen. Der neueren Reunion mit Charlie Huhn sehe ich auch eher skeptisch entgegen.
