Basic Information
These apps were made portable using VMware s Thinapp, and consequently, can be run from a USB drive without first installing and with all settings maintained (an MSOffice2007 6in1 Settings folder is created on first use).
Since Excel, and all others, are only links to files inside Word (in order to save space) Word must be named Microsoft Office Word 2007.exe if you want to continue using them.
To associate file types simply right click on a file (ex. .doc), select Open with ... , then navigate to the approprate portable app (ex. Microsoft Office Word 2007.exe ), making sure to tick the always open with box.
OS Compatibility: These apps were tested on XP & Vista, but should work on any OS after Win2000. Like the original Office 2007, they will NOT work on Win95, 98 or 2000.
