Born in 9th December 1977 and grown in Alvalade neighbourhood in Lisbon, Frederico Oliveira a.k.a. Freddy Locks belongs to a generation of musicians that came from that neighbourhood and made history in the punk-rock music scene in Portugal. In 2006 Freddy starts his solo project and releases the record "Bring up the feeling" on the first indie/reggae label in Portugal called "Gumalaka". This record was named the album of the year by Reggae comunity "Sunshine reggae" and "Zona Reggae". Its single was playlisted on "Antena3" and reached the 1 position on the Public..s Chart. The videoclip of the same song was also playlisted on MTV Portugal. "Bring up the feeling" record is referred as the example of the evolution of reggae music coming from Portugal. Touring Portugal during 2008 and 2009, Freddy's new album is coming out on 19 April 2010.
