I have read every Anita Blake book to date when this had come out. I knew this was a short story but I feel that it was very rushed and pretty much silly. The first chapter was terrible and should have been a tip off that the rest of the book would be lackluster. I however choked through it because I love the Anita Blake series. If you are looking for another good series by the fantastic author however, you should pick up the Meredith Gentry series, not nearly as many books but the 8 she has written more than make up for the last half of the Anita series being poorly written. Every book in that series just got better and better and each book is a continuation of the next which I thought was awesome. Anywho, back to Flirt. Library or borrow from a friend. Not long at all or worth the hard cover price set on it.
