I really did enjoy the book: plot was good, nice blend of action and humor and I don't mind the para normal although I would not mind reading a Krentz' book with a more traditional story line. (I love all of her different worlds be they conventional or psychic.) The only problem I had was with Jack Winters, nothing really wrong with the character but somehow in the presentation he did not take hold of the book though he did come across stronger as the plot progressed. Usually Ms Krentz' female and male protagonists, with shifting point of view, have a fairly equal grip on the reader but the Chloe point of view was much stronger and made it a little less balanced. The inclusion of Grace and Luther from Running Hot and the fore-shadowing of Fallon's story give Fired Up a nice sense of completeness. If you haven't read Fired Up it is well worth buying.
