This book made for a pleasant read. I avoided reading any reviews until done since some confuse a review with giving away the plot. The book is a little uneven. The writer has the character talk down to the reader about design elements in the 1st chapter then later in the book claims not to know what a 2 x 4 is. Really? However, after getting through the first chapter the style changes and is more readable. Yes, the culprit was evident early on, but to the writer's credit, that did not spoil the reading of the book. I would prefer the design elements explanations to be at the back of the book with the design tips. I liked how the writer brought in history to the plot. I also liked the interaction of the characters. I will be reading further books in this series.
