Fate it seems is not on her side, Marcus touches a part of her that she's never felt before, any he is dangerous and more than her match. Marcus is equally intrigue and their game of cat and mouse begin. I'm not going to go into any more details, but I have to say the plot line is tight. There is so much going on, but there aren't any loose ends. I also really enjoyed the paranormal element to this book. It differentiated Harlow as an author as well as opened up numerous story lines for future books. I also liked the added evil of Lazarus being what he is, no normal mortal could cause that much terror or damage. Jax was a fantastic heroine and the fight scenes were amazing. Unlike many authors who blur over the details and suddenly 'it was all over' Harlow teased out details and I felt like I was watching the violence and blood first hand. This is definitely a must read if you are craving a little more than Maverick and Black Jack.
