I don't know why people are getting all bent out of shape over the historical inaccuracies in the book. The author has a nice afterward explaining all the parts he deviates from history and the book is fictional anyway. To make an interesting story and a grand adventure he has to take liberties with excepted history. This is a fine "fictional" account of a young Julius Caesar and a great story. I took 1 star off because the author crapped out when it came to the final battle. No description at all of the biggest battle in the story so far. That is my only problem with the book. If you like David Gemmell's Troy, then give this a look.
