If you've read other books in the series, you'll probably notice, like I did, that there's some repetition in the characterization and the dialogue. Sean calls Liv "princess" and is attracted to the few attempts she makes to be both haughty and demanding; this is very reminiscent of Connor calling Erin "princess" in their book and also loving *her* attempts at haughty domination. To that end, with the exception of the enigmatic Tamara, I don't think McKenna is as adapt at developing complex female characters as she is at giving us a multi-layered male point of view.
But by the end of this book, I thought most of the pieces fell into place. And I also loved the Miles/Cynthia subplot. This is definitely a pleasurable read that's hard to put down.
