Summary: A good read and a handy reference
Rating: 5
The author has done a wonderful job of writing an engaging book about the history and future of DVRs. This book is insightful; it starts by providing a good industry reference point and expands to address the business models, impacts to traditional advertising, and future growth of the industry. I found it to be a good read and a handy reference. This is a great book for anybody in the Broadcast, Cable, Direct Broadcast Satellite, IPTV or other related media industries.
Summary: Must Reading in the DVR Technology Space
Rating: 5
Just finished reading and I must say Jimmy Schaeffler has done a great job of capturing the DVR market space from both its current and historical viewpoints. I've ordered 25 more copies for various team members and I'm making it a "must-read" for all outside marketing agencies working with Digeo, Inc. as we continue to evolve our MOXI HD DVR experience.
