wasn't so sure about getting this book because, for starters, I don't like detective novels. And as much as I loved Warren Ellis work in DV8 or Global Frequency, I was a bit afraid of disappointment.
Fear not. Crooked Little Vein is every page as amazing and pure Warren Ellis as it can get. In fact, the detective plot is simple and it serves more as a vehicle, driving you through a memorable series of philias, weird encounters in aeroplanes and discussions about the need (or lack of) for a politically correct world. Loved it to pieces and I hope we can get some more novels by Mr Ellis really soon.
