I purchased this book because I wanted to teach my students how to think critically so they could be better readers, writers, and consumers of information. Critical Thinking for Students is not a hefty tome, but it is hefty in value. It is well written, easy to follow, and presents information with such clarity that students should be able to use it for themselves. I've recommended this book to be used for freshman composition courses, and it should be a staple of every high school and university English course. That's how good it is. The book took a week or so to arrive from the UK, and it is well worth the wait.
