Cussler skillfully blend history, archeology, and marine knowledge in his plot and dialogue. It was interesting listening to his descriptive words about the various artifacts and how they blended with the story. I did feel, and again, maybe this goes back to listening rather than reading, that the story seemed a bit convoluted and overblown, not as tight as it could have been.
