Review: Bernard Legace, who records for Analekta, is not one of the more famous harpsichordists. However, his recording of Bach's Inventions reveals a highly artistic individual who can compete with the established masters in this repertoire. Laberge provides superb mainstream performances with a recorded sound to match. He really hits his stride in the more complex three-part inventions, and it just happens that his interpretations are outstanding in my favorite inventions. I consider this a mandatory purchase for Bach/Harpsichord lovers.
