“The Sanctus Quartet was established in 2004 February having an aim to perform Armenian, Western European medieval and classical vocal music.
The first performance of the Sanctus Quartet was on March 13, 2004 on presentation of the CD of Arto Tuncboyaciyan and the "Armenian Navy Band" that took place in the Folk-club (Yerevan, Armenia).
The Sanctus Quartet prepared complicated program which included the works of following composers: Komitas, J.S.Bach, K.Debussy, D.Halajian, T.Mansurian and gave the first concert at the Arno Babadjanian Concert Hall in Yerevan on May 16, 2004.
In performance which was dedicated to the 400th Anniversary of the city of New Julfa the Sanctus Quartet presented both solo and choral works at the same Concert Hall on July 25, 2004.
On September 7, 2004 the Quartet participated in the "Kancharan" arrangement that took place in Aznavour Square in Yerevan.
The 135th Anniversary of Komitas was widely celebrated in Armenia and the Sanctus Quartet gave concerts in Slavonic University on October 7, 2004, and at the National Opera on November 22, 2004 in Yerevan.”
